  • What is MOSHC (MacGregor Outside School Hours Care)?
    MacGregor Outside School Hours Care is a not-for-profit entity of the MacGregor Primary P&C Association, who was recently recognized as “Exceeding the Standard” under the National Quality Assurance rating and assessment. MOSHC employs 50 staff members including educators, cooks, and admin staff. Up to 270 children from MacGregor State School attend the service daily.
  • What services does MOSHC offer?
    MOSHC offers: Before school care (BSC) from 6:30AM to 9:00AM After school care (ASC) from 3:00PM to 6:00PM Vacation Care (VC) from 6:30PM to 6:00PM Note: MOSHC is closed on public holidays and for a two-week period during the Christmas/New Year time.
  • Where is MOSHC located?
    MOSHC is located opposite MacGregor State School across the oval at 54 Carnaby Street, MacGregor. MOSHC has it's own dedicated play spaces and office with several licensed areas in the school including the library, hall, and basketball courts.
  • How can I make a booking and is there a waitlist?
    All bookings at MOSHC must be done via email, you will be notified about the confirmation depending on availability. There is currently a waitlist and we are taking expressions of interest for outside of school hours care. To register your intertest and join the waitlist, please email macgregoroshc@gmail.com.
  • How can I enroll my child?
    Enrolments forms are available on the website under the 'Centre Information' page or downloadable below. MOSHC Enrolment Form MOSHC Family Handbook Direct Debit form Upon completion and reading of these documents, please return the completed forms to the MOSHC admin team at our office or email. An orientation session (approximately 20 minutes) must be completed with you and your child before bookings can be made.
  • What is the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) and how do I get it?
    MOSHC services are subsidised by the government through the Child Care Subsidy (CCS). You must meet some basic requirements that include: care for a child 13 or younger who’s not attending secondary school, unless an exemption applies. use an approved child care service (MOSHC is approved). be responsible for paying the childcare fees. meet residency and immunisation requirements. To receive an estimate of CCS funding available, you can access Starting Block CCS Calculator and Services Australia for more detailed information. The level of CCS funding you can recieve depends on three factors that includes, combined family income, activity test, and service type. How does CCS work? CCS is paid directly to the service provider, families will receive this as a reduction in their fees (up to 90%). Families will make a co-contribution to the fees and pay the remianing amount the provider (also known as a gap payment). Note: Additional, targeted fee assistance are available for vulnerable families.
  • Where can I park to get to MOSHC?
    Parking spaces are available outside the staff carpark (opposite KFC and Woolworths). Please note that the staff carpark can only be accessed by staff members. Guide to Visitor Parking
  • Will food be provided?
    Yes, food is provided during all our services by our centre cooks. Menus are sent to our parents in the MOSHC times and can be located at our kitchen. During before school care children are provided with a hot breakfast, fruit and cereals. During after school care, children are provided with a hot meal, fruits, various cakes, and crackers. During vacation care children are provided with breakfast, morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea that is similar to before and afterschool care.
