We are so proud and humbled to announce that this afternoon we became the first OSHC to win the Coolamon Award from Queensland Department of Education. The Coolamon Award is an award presented to an Early Childhood Education and Care Service that demonstrates excellence in embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives. This award represents our journey of almost 8 years and we are so very proud of our Team those past and present who have all contributed in their own way to our journey. We also wish to acknowledge Stephen Chadburn for his constant support and guidance for our team on this journey. The Coolamon will now live at MOSHC for the next 12 months where it will be used by the children in play and learning experiences. Many thanks to Aunty Merle, Kate, and Ashleigh from the ECEC Metro Region Development and Capability Team for this award and their support and guidance over many years.
